John Truby's "The Anatomy of Story" Pt. 1 and 2

My major takeaways from what I think John is trying to say are:

1) What can you write which is original? What can you write that ONLY you can write? If you find that you immediately differentiate yourself.

2) The character change of your main character is the foundation of the entire script.

3) There are 7 steps in every story. These are anchor steps and if you get them right, your script will really work. (you'll have to google them!)

4) When you finish your first draft, think about the desire for the main character. What does he/she really want and what drives them.
